In the spirit of beer being the beverage of the everyday man (and woman), we present Musical Cheers, a column that puts real beer in the hands of real people. Musical Cheers is guest authored by a revolving selection of friends and columnists with tastes as varied as the beers they review.

Pre-tasting: Green 19, Set Hut! Genius Name! This brew makes me think of Packers football games and legendary quarterbacks. There's a football on the bottle cap and if you look closely at the historic players without helmets, the football is actually hops! Buying local is important to me so seeing Green Bay on the label is special. The fact that it's brewed downtown is like an overtime win! Green 19 has a delightful copper coloring and an inviting aroma of citrus and hops.
Post-tasting: My first sip of Green 19 was an avalanche of flavor. It was smooth and had a great taste. The rich hop burst was not overpowering but refreshing. For someone who refused to drink an IPA a few years ago because I couldn't handle bitterness, I now treat Green 19 as one of my favorite go-to brews. My brew taste buds have thankfully matured!
Green 19 is best enjoyed with great coworkers and friends alongside Titletown's delicious Bavarian pretzels and artichoke dip.
Titletown Brewing's Green 19 gets a 10 and The Heisman and Lombardi trophies from me!
