Love is in the air! I can't think of February without thinking of good old Valentine's Day. In the spirit of all things lovely, I decided I'd take a minute or two to talk about something I love — Let Me Be Frank Productions (shocking, I know). A question I'm often asked as a cast member is “What has been your favorite show?" This year marks my 7th season with LMBF and while I don't have nearly as many shows under my belt as say, Frank Hermans, Pat Hibbard, Amy Riemer, Tom Verbrick and Lisa Borley, I have performed in over 30 shows. While it's hard to narrow down favorites, here are a few top shows that come to my mind.

Kewaunee County Pickers (April 2016) — This was the show where Mike and Frank from the Pickers came to “buy some Americana from the Stadola's farm in Pilsen, Kewaunee County. Dastardly Flint Northwoods hopes he can buy the Stadola farm for 25 cents on the dollar and put up a box store Farm and Fleet. Lisa and I played Amy's daughters and I had a particularly poignant accent (think Gilda Radner doing Barbara Walters). The props were incredible, the costumes were colorful and the music got stuck in my head every single day! Favorite song from this show? “Little Green Bag" (George Baker) performed by Frank Hermans.

Golden Bowl: Mixed Couples (June 2014) — I'm always a sucker for a show where we do '80s music and this show had an awesome lineup. Tom played the owner of a bowling alley trying to spice up the current male and female leagues. We mixed up the team of Amy, Kelly and myself with Frank, Pat and David. You may remember that Amy played the goth chick and we all wore bowling shirts and bowling shoes courtesy of Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley. Top song? “Edge of Seventeen" (Stevie Nicks) that I got to perform!

A Frank's Christmas, Christmas at Prange's (December 2013) — This show took us back to window shopping at the H.C. Prange Co. department store. Nearly all of us played animatronics that would come to life when store owner, Frank, left the room. It was a classic tale of helping someone get in the holiday spirit with a little bit of Christmas magic. The characters were larger than life and the set felt like a true toy store to me. This show was so successful that we did a sequel the following year. Favorite song selection? “My Grown Up Christmas List" (Kelly Clarkson version) performed by Lisa Borley.

Jailhouse (Reformatory) Rock (July/August 2015) — Basic plot: The ladies at Taycheedah took a field trip of sorts to visit the Green Bay prison where the men stayed. Cue the fun and frolic that comes with that setup! From the prison-orange dresses that Amy, Lisa and I wore to the '50s music with doo-wop harmonies, I loved this show! I had such a blast playing the inmate with a rough past and a quick attitude — complete with fake tattoo sleeves. Standout song to me? “Jailhouse Rock" (Elvis Presley) performed by Pat Hibbard.

U.P. Housewives Season “Ate" (February 2017) — I had to include the show that I had the privilege of writing on my list! I loved this show because it was so fun for me to be on the other side of the production process, AND perform in it. From a few random ideas in my head to a full-blown show, it was an amazing experience. I was proud of the storyline we created, the characters that came to life and the oh-so-good tunes from the '70s featured. In the simplest of summaries, the budget for the hit television show “U.P. Housewives" was dwindling so they decide to host a telethon to raise funds — because, why not?! In my wildest dreams, we would do a third installment of a “Housewives" show someday! Favorite number? “Lady Marmalade" (Patti LaBelle) performed by Amy Riemer.

Kasey Schumacher is the marketing director for Let Me Be Frank Productions by day and a performer for the troupe by night. When she isn't updating Facebook or singing a 1970s classic, she enjoys running, cooking, questioning final rose picks on 'The Bachelor" and planning overly extravagant trips to Disney.
