Radio Madness Productions returns to the stage for their Spring production on Saturday, May 27th for two performances at 3:00 and 5:30pm. The troupe will be performing for the first time in the basement auditorium at the downtown Brown County Library Central Branch. Doors open at 2:30pm. Radio Madness shows feature local actors performing vintage and modern radio scripts in front of an audience, with musical accompaniment on a vintage Hammond organ, along with live foley (sound effects). The multi-talented cast often adds one or more musical numbers to compliment the theme of the radio scripts.
Guest-hosting the evening's festivities will be Wisconsin Public Radio personality Norman Gilliland. Gilliland is the host of WPR's popular “Old Time Radio Drama” heard on Saturday & Sunday evenings.
This time around, the gang tackles two vintage radio episodes from “Fibber McGee & Molly” and “The Shadow.” There will also be a guest performance of Abbott & Costello's “Who's on First” and a couple musical selections.
